Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club are delighted with their experience working with Halbro.

As a Wheelchair Rugby Club, we have a lot of technical issues to consider and the comfort along with the safety of the players is foremost. Followed by how practical the kit is for players with physical impairments or amputations to use.

Our new kit arrived ready for the new season, the squad love it, their families want to buy it and most importantly the team love playing in it.

We were happy to pass on our contacts at Halbro to other clubs who also liked the look of our kit. I don’t think the kit made the difference in our performance but it really helped bring the team and staff together in a stylish Union!

We contacted Andy Deacon at Halbro with a request to supply a set of playing shirts in the style of the shirts we used in 1971 when Halbro were our suppliers.

This season is a celebration of our 50^th year and because of Covid uncertainties, time had become very tight.

Despite this Halbro came up with an excellent replica shirt in an up-to-date technical fabric and a leisure version with the number ‘50’ on the back.

We hoped to have the shirts for a 50^th Celebration fixture in Cornwall League One against our old rivals, Lankelly Fowey.

The shirts arrived in time and a great day of rugby and conviviality followed. Better still, we won the game!
